Eco-concept: LAK Tented Camp was conceived with sustainable goals
Set on a prime hill overlooking the picturesque LAK Lake, LAK Tented Camp offers creative and thrilling opportunities for day trippers as well as long stay travelers to explore this culturally rich and naturally beautiful region. Stretching over 4.8ha, the property features 15 Lakeview Tented Lodges, 4 Lakefront Wooden Bungalows, 1 Y Lieng House. Y LAK Restaurant, a tastefully restored M’Nong long house with indoor dining hall, bar connected with 3 waterside terraces for alfresco dining.
LAK Tented Camp has been conceived with the goals of cultural integrity preservation, environmental protection to offer guests an eco-friendly yet comfy stay, in harmony with local architecture and ecology. All-inclusive packages, with selective activities and excursions will lead you through a complete and enriching discovery.
Our Staff
The mission of LAK Tented Camp is to provide job opportunities and positive socio-economical impact on the surrounding communities. Our staff are mostly M’Nong ethnic, local Vietnamese, teamed up with expat and experienced managers under the same roof to offer guests an authentic hospitality and cultural integrity.
We are a multilingual team speaking English, French, ethnic languages (Mnong, Ede, Bahnar) and of course Vietnamese. We love to hear from you and chat about cultural differences.

What to expect
No high-tech and luxurious facilities
We are not a modern city hotel or a luxury hideaway retreat. Our “luxury” is the natural space given to each guests, around 1000sqm/guests. We do not have fast elevator nor full service buggy to transport guests from the room to the restaurant. We encourage every one to walk, or even make their own trails. The internal road is made with eco-friendly material instead of solid concrete and is maintained regularly. Our buggy is still there to support the luggage.
Our menu is well selected Vietnamese authentic food, about 30-40 dishes that have enough of quality variety for you to choose. We have a few western, vegetarian, kids menu to cater all need. Vietnamese fresh food, locally sourced will be priority.
Being on an island, we do not have large stock or pre-cooked all meal. So, please order early in the day, so that we can serve you at best.
Buffet is necessary for groups or at high occupancy. Otherwise, our breakfast is a-la-carte but you will have all healthy choices and order as much as you need.
Spa, Swimming Pool
Our staff is trained with some massage techniques and can offer body, foot massage at Y LAK Lounge or your rooms.
Swimming pool is not yet available as we still consider the design, and sustainable practices. Meanwhile you are entitled to the second largest freshwater lake in Vietnam, Lak Lake. So why not go boating, tubing, kayaking and enjoy the fresh air and water.
Wifi, telephone, smart Tivi
LAK Tented Camp encourages guests to disconnect and reconnect with nature. Spending quality time with your family, your love one, talking with people and having fun moment with “old fashion” board games, books are a privilege. We want you to have an out-of-the-ordinary routine at LAK Tented Camp thus there is no telephone, TV in room. We will try to meet each other and find way to communicate.
Wifi is however covered in Bungalows, Tents and Y LAK Restaurant and Lounge. In some windy day, wifi signal may not be stable. Please request the reception for 3g wifi hotspot device if you urgently need for your work.
No room service or mini-bar
Mini-bar is available for bungalows with fruit, soft drink, local beer. All is complimentary. For all accommodation type, we set up ice box, electric kettle and tea, coffee amenities. (Milk can be supplied on request).
Due to the nature of the tented-lodge, it is not recommended to bring food into the room to avoid attracting insects and creating unpleasant surprise. Nevertheless, our Y LAK lounge, terraces have nice space to cater all your needs. We also have a snack bar at the lounge with good selection of food and drinks with affordable price. You can self service if the kitchen and restaurant closed at night.
Some natural dirt
Though we pay attention to the cleaning and check-up before your arrival, there are occasionally dirt stranded here and there. In windy season, leaves, dead insect may fall down to the bath rooms. Please kindly understand that nature does have their own voice and some time we have to live with.
